ABI’s Favorite Projects of 2021

Updated: Jan 31, 2022

The year 2021 was another great one for us at ABI! We were named one of the fastest-growing agencies for the second year in a row, and we even took home some very shiny awards for our projects.

We’re proud of all the work we create but sometimes, a certain project can hold a special place in our hearts because of the impact it made on us while working on it. See which projects were the favorites of our staff!

Sophia Johnson

“This is College” campaign – When I’m not working (and sometimes when I am), I pour my passion into making sure as many kids as possible have access to quality education. Because of that, our “This is College” campaign for Tarrant County College is very near and dear to my heart. This year, we put together a great set of commercials. One from the campaign featured a family pooling their small amounts of money to launch a young lady into college. It was designed to encourage our first-gen college students. This series won so many awards, and it’s still winning. But the most important part for me was inspiring first-gen students and their families.

Dawn Davidson

DFW Airport FY22 commercials– It was the airport’s first set of product videos for streaming and social platforms. There’s a burden and a blessing when you’re moving a client into uncharted waters. I was superhyped that we were able to stretch both of our teams and accomplish something great for them.

Marchella Simon

DFW Airport Prepaid Parking (“PPO”) commercials – I would have to go with the DFW PPO commercials. This was a big deal for the airport, with this being their first consumer marketing ever, and ABI got to produce it! I would also say the DFW Airport Marketing Strategy Session was a pretty impactful project. The purpose of the session was to bring together teams across multiple departments so they could brainstorm high-level marketing strategies for their parking products. We put a great amount of time into that project, building out the strategy and planning for a three-day virtual event experience complete with custom session kits for each participant. The session was very successful —we received great feedback and the client was able to walk away with a draft for a new positioning statement as well as a plan on how to keep the conversation going about how to implement some of the strategies that were discussed.

DFW Airport Marketing Strategy Session – We put a great amount of time into that project, and it showed. We developed strategic planning sessions for DFW’s senior leadership team. The session was successful, we received great feedback, and the client was able to walk away with a draft for a new positioning statement, as well as a plan on how to keep the conversation going internally.

End HIV Epidemic Campaign – I haven’t been here long, so I can’t say I’ve gotten to participate in too many yet! I’ve really enjoyed seeing what the End HIV Epidemic campaign has become as it is something that I can personally connect with within my family.

Srikusum Rai

Emergency Rental Assistance Program – For me, the most impactful project would be the City of Fort Worth Emergency Rental Assistance Program. There’s no better feeling than knowing that the projects we work on make a difference in someone’s life. And that’s the experience I received when I got the opportunity to speak to one of the recipients of the COFW ERAP.

QaVonte Williams

Emergency Rental Assistance Program, a program to assist individuals impacted by the pandemic with their rent, mortgage, and utilities – My favorite project would be the City of Fort Worth Emergency Rental Assistance Program. I was able to expand my creative skills and video knowledge by taking on new challenges with the video production and editing work on this commercial.

Lauren Hill

EHE Campaign and Vaccine Campaign – I’m still very new but I’ve really enjoyed seeing what the team has created for the End HIV Epidemic and the care taken to make sure it’s impactful and respectful. Any time I get to help with it makes me really happy! I’ve also enjoyed the Vaccine project to help get Dallas County vaccinated.

Satish Dusa

PrEP Campaign (the medication that prevents HIV) – The Dallas County PrEP “Your Freedom” is my favorite campaign from 2021. As an advocate to the LGBTQ+ community, this campaign allowed me as a Creative Director to help bring awareness to a stigmatized topic — preventing HIV. As we continue in 2022 with the effort to end HIV, I look forward to telling stories and breaking stereotypes on this healthcare issue.

Sarah Green

MOM - A communication app for mothers, families and those with loved ones who are pregnant. It solved a large issue in healthcare using empathy, research and really sparked great conversation.
